We are so quick to question God when bad things happen. We already know that we are sinful and life is full of ups and downs, but we don’t always look at God in a positive light when we are going through our hard times.
Isn’t it strange that we don’t seem to question God when He is blessing us with the good things? We are all about questioning Him when things are headed south, though.
When bad things do happen, we understand that it’s part of life. The devil has had his hand in it and God has allowed it.
When good things happen, we understand that God has blessed us. What’s even more incredible, is that God doesn’t even punish us every time we sin. He shows His mercy on us more than we even realize.
“He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” -Psalm 103: 10-12
Seems only fair to recognize His grace just as often as we question His motives, right?
